Join Us for “Youth Soccer Day” May 4th 2014
Wenatchee United FC semi-pro soccer would like to invite all interested youth club teams (players and their coach) to participate in the opening ceremony of the first game of our inaugural Evergreen Premier League season on Sunday May 4th at the Wenatchee Apple Bowl.
Our WenUtd Capitals will take on the Bellingham United Hammers at 4pm, and we would like our regional youth teams to take the field with the WenUtd players before the game to showcase our huge soccer community, as well as to recognize the great work that our area youth soccer clubs perform in order to mold the semi-pro stars of the future!
As a reward for participating, youth club teams will be allowed free entry to the game, while family members of participating players will be offered tickets at the reduced rate of $5 when pre-ordered ($6 at the gate).
To facilitate the process of getting tickets to teams in advance for the large number of players and families that we are expecting, we are asking that each youth team designate an “organizer” to get a head count of the number of players that will participate from their team and also get a ticket count and collect funds for the advance purchase tickets.
Once you have a final count, please email [email protected] with the following information no later than April 23rd:
- 1. Your team name and age group.
- 2. The number of players participating plus their coach.
- 3. The number of $5.00 advance purchase tickets this team needs for family members of participating players.
- 4. The name of the person that will be responsible for picking up the free and any paid tickets for the team.
Tickets will then be available to be picked up and paid for on Wednesday, April 30th and Thursday, May 1st from 6-8pm at the soccer field at Wenatchee Valley College on 5th Street, so that they can be disbursed to your team. We will then also provide details on when and where the teams should assemble on game day.
Please Note: For the opening ceremony on May 4th we will be requiring each team to wear their Team Jersey and for their coach to accompany them. If your team has both a home and away kit, we would ask that the entire team select just one kit.
The future success of WenUtd is directly tied to the ongoing success of our area youth soccer clubs. We wholeheartedly appreciate your many contributions to the sport in creating the significant pool of soccer talent here in North Central Washington. We therefore welcome you to come on out and join us for our opening game festivities!
